Trichogramma Wasp
Trichogramma (T. Pretiosum or T. Minutum) are tiny gnat like parasitic wasps that attack over 200 pest species including eggs of Pecan case bearer, tomato horn worm, corn ear worm, fruitworms, cane borers, and almost all moth and butterfly eggs that hatch into worm pests. Trichogramma are shipped while still parasitizing in the host egg. They should be released at the first sign of moths. A suggested schedule would have 50 percent of the total released the first time and 25 percent each on 2 bi-weekly releases. For a small garden, 12,000 wasps are enough. For orchards release 50 to 100,000 per acre in 3 or more releases. Ship live Mon - Wed.
